Maine Coon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i do not want a wild type cat, I want a large gentle giant. I have plenty of cats that give you the stink eye when you look at them. Far as they are concerned keep the feed bowl full and piss off.

I had a white maine coone growing up and once I was old enough to leave home left the cat there. It was definitely my all time favorite but I havent kept any cats in quite a few years, only dogs

I worked with a fellow many years ago that had Maine coon cats. He and his wife has a small business breeding them. I don't remember them being as big as the cats pictured in this thread, but they were large as far as cats go. A friend of my sister bought one of his cats. It was a wonderful pet as I recall. I would guess they could be like other cats-some are nice an lovable and others can be monsters.
Have you contacted any breeders? I would start there and learn about the particular line they are breeding.

I have a male maine coone, Dozer is his name, so named due to his behavior of putting his head down and pushing things out of the way.

Good cat, kind of a douche at times, but ultimately if I were to get another cat I'd get a maine coone. He's given big dogs runs for their money.

You have 7 cats.. I can't imagine the Ammonia.. There's a reason there's a such thing as a "crazy cat lady". And it's not because a ton of cats is cool. Normal domesticated cats are cool if you get a well behaved one. But you took adoption too far.

If you're spending $$$$$ on a cat. Save up. Get a Serval. Anything else small cat wise that you paid for. Pretty lame.
Haha dude's still salty about something!

Maine coons are awsome cats very vocal and smart. Ya they do get on the larger side but not that big. I've had a few over the years and are my personal favorite. I have a 7 year old male orange mainecoon now that loves to play fetch

This poor bastard is owned by my teenage sister. Pretty sure he's only part Maine Coon. Somewhere around 20-25 pounds. Somewhat anti social except with my sister. He scares the hell out of my 90 pound lab hahahaCapture+_2016-08-18-15-02-15.png Capture+_2016-08-18-14-57-08.png
