Maintain 50 degreee tank?

I'm trying to figure out the best/cheapest way to maintain a tank at 50 degrees. I would like to do this on a 125 gal. but might use a 75 gal. if that is more practical.

Consumer refrigeration devices are basically of 2 trpes, refrigerators and air conditioners. Refrigerators operate with an evaporator temperature of 0F and air conditioners operate with a coil temperature of 53F nominal.

A barrel of water in a refrigerator with a loop to your tank should handle a tank as long as the room stays below 80F

As a side question, this might be better directed at WDFW, and please don't go crazy just an incocent question.

With a licence I'm aloowed to catch salmon, i can keep and cure the eggs for bait. Where does the law stand on fertilizing the eggs with a male and using these, if i'm to catch one of each?

Releasing them would be illegal. But you're right, better to ask the Fish and Game Dept.
