A couple of my HOB's were running slowly, so I figured one of two things were to blame:
1. They were clogged

2. The motors were going bad.

I inspected the parts after taking them apart. They reall didn't look dirty or clogged too much, but I figured I would clean them anyway as I already had them apart. What a difference removing a little gunk can make, they are as good as new. Remember to take a part your HOB every once in a while to keep the proper flow rate and function.

I have 2 AC 110s on my 90 I clean them alternately with my weekly water change. With 2 filters I find it a lot easier to maintain them since one is always clean.

I think i'm gonna do that on my 304. It's been bad in a cou[ple of weeks now.

Is it better to use two small filters as opposed to one big one?

reminded me to clean mine ;) well if u have 2 filters u can clean one without killed the bateria in the other, aka stagger

I have 2 types of media in mine, one you change out, one you don't.
