So I just put my fish in my stock tank I have two fluval fx-6 doing the filtration my question is that I won't have anything big enough to take my tank completely down and put the fish in so do I scrub it and do frequent water changes with this work 3 years from now or will my tank be disgusting what do you guys do to keep it clean also one of my thoughts was to get in and clean it but how do I protect myself from the fish1434802073471.jpg

Personally I would do weekly wc's maintain the filters, as for protecting yourself from the fish buy a long handle algae scrubber, extended siphon cleaner or diy these items.:)

When doing water changes should I get a 55 gal drum or something I can put the water in to heat it and treat it before putting it in the pond

If you prefer storing the water in the drum, and heating to match pond temp go for it. If you don't mind the old school 5gal bucket method from the tap, and adding prime or dechlorinater of choice that's ok too. Maybe a drip system:)

How long will it take to fill with the 5 gal bucket haha I don't really want to store a drum and heat it also

Approximately 2 to 3 minutes if bucket is directly under faucet, also depends on the water pressure from your home water lines. You could connect a short hose to faucet also.

How big is this pond (gallons or dimensions)?

Describe the stock (species, # and size range)?
