maintenance and water changes

According to the calculator, you got about 600 gallons.
I would personally do an overhead sump filter instead of the 2 FX, but I think with just an 18" fish you're ok for now.

I have a 180 in my basement that gets no natural lighting and most of the day the tank is lit by a set of LED string lights. I've only had to clean the glass once in the past 20 months, and even then it was not even needed really. So, I think you'll be fine as long as you keep the lighting to a minimum, filtration strong, and plenty of water changes. If you do get algae or diatom build-up, you should be able to just use a sponge mop and scrub it clean.

With this much water, you should also look into drip systems or auto water changing system to make life enjoyable.

When I first started my fishroom, I installed a 400gal doorway (fits through a standard home door) water storage tank. It allowed me to heat replacement water (since I heated the room instead of the tank). I dropped in a pond-size airstone to aerate the tank water. The tanks have a bulkhead and cap near the bottom that a spigot can be attached to for gravity draining. But,a siphon can work just as well.
I eventually upgraded to a 5kgal tank with auto-fill and filtered circulation when I added 30 450gal tanks to the hatchery. But, still used the 400gal tank for the front office 650 display tank.
An idea you may like: For the back room tanks, I wound up installing a deep sink with a 10 gal water heater underneath to do my water changes on those tanks without having to run hoses from the main hatchery room to the back of the building.
