major hair alage issue

i dont know if this will apply to SW, but when i got hair algae in my FW planted tank, i would squirt it with hydrogen peroxide, it would dry up and die in about 2-3 days. it was a nice short term solution until i could figure out what the problem was

I would say that along with squillas recomendation is to look into an algea scrubber as it makes algea growth more favourable using a device that is sitting in your sump, which means algea grows in the sump so you simply pull it out clean most off and stick it back in. There by pulling nutrient out of the system, and keeping some of the algea out of the display tank. Best of all they are reasonably cheap/simple to DIY.

its a 20 long bra lol i think im just going to resort to tearing it down one day and geting rid of all the sand. And idk adding all new di water and new salt.Im using instant ocean reef crystals.

They way I get rid of it, is dilute some bleach in a bucket of water. Put the decorations that have the algae in it in the bucket and soak it for a couple of days. The algae dies and it is easier to take off.

But if you got live coral I would not suggest that.
