Anyone have a recommendation on a bead filter for a 500 gallon tank? I have to do something, no room for a sump, I'm not comfortable with my original idea, but looking at the bead filter, from what I can see, it's all enclosed, so no worries about a flood. My water smells so bad, I do water changes every single day, I have waited and waited for the bacteria to grow, removed a lot of fish, feeding only twice a week, maybe 3 times and only sparingly, turned off the UV filter, etc. I had the same issue with the eel tank, only had a canister filter on it, so I added a Emperor 400, 2 days later and no smell, I need to find another way and this may be it.
