These will be mounted to plaques and awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in six different discus classes at the ACA convention courtesy of the NADA. I was commissioned to make these about 3 months ago. They are made of polymer clay and painted with oils, acrylics, metal powders and glaze. A two-part silicone mold was made to reproduce these from a master fish that was also made of baked polymer clay. The details of the original fish were achieved by using dental tools, knives, pins, and asst. household items. This was a really fun project and I must say that the folks at the NADA are super nice (they pay very promptly too!). Of course, I had to take a few pics of these before they ship to Chicago just because I have alot of work in them! These aren't monster fish but the convention will definately be monster!
