Nice! Do you really think you can just keep one fish in that big tank?

Heck yes, that's the whole reason I got this tank, strictly for a solo Midas. :D They are my favorite species, and I daresay he won't tolerate anyone else in his tank.

Awesome, I just ordered some driftwood for my tank today. Where did you get that canopy from, was it purchased with the stand or separately?

cant wait to see it full

I got the stand and canopy as a used set on Craigslist. They were originally made by Tenecor.

I can't wait to see your tank!

That's sweet. Can't wait to see it finished. I got one(midas) recently,and he has quickly become my favorite.

Is it a 4' 150?

They are fantastic fish. How big is your Midas? Mine still has so much growing to do but his personality is becoming crazier every day. :)

The dimensions of the tank are 5x2x2 feet.

^ in this pic it seems much deeper than 24" for some reason. Assuming the tiles are 12" square it makes sense though. Black sand on it's way? :naughty:

I was just thinking that picture looked a little odd. When I look at the tank in person, the side view looks perfectly square from front to back and top to bottom. I think the Photobucket processing of the photo did something to warp it. But yep, it's 24" deep.

You know, I'm not a fan of black sand anymore. I think it has its place but always looks unnatural in my tanks. I'm getting pool filter sand. :)

It's an optical illusion caused by the canopy and angle.

It looks Fantastic Natalie!! The lighting looks good too, even without water :)

I can't wait to watch you put it all together, I know your Midas is going to think he won the lottery :grinno:

I can't wait! :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

BEAUTIFUL tank! I'm planning on either one like this or at minumum a 135 after Xmas.

Mine is about 8" now. He hates the gravel vac,and my hand. He has bitten me a couple times. He was around 3" when I got him.
