Making my fish less shy

get some dither fish... a bunch of schooling fish like silver dollars work well.

Feeders might help.
Also, don't give them any hiding spots, except for some plants. They can't be shy if there is nowhere to hide.

Oh man...that was the worst advice I have heard in a long time. You should give them a lot of cover, and THAT helps them be less shy.

i was going to do silver dollars but was worried about overstocking the tank so i cut them out. Should i put them back in again?

i will try softer lighting definately, and might try and get hold of some water sprite, there is already lots of cover in the tank. so i plan to just sit there as much as possible and watch (oh dear such a horrible job lol), anything else i should be doing?
