IME Its easier to shape a fish's disposition if they are raised from very early on. The more accustomed a fish is to being hand fed, the more comfortable it will be to your presence. With that being said I also think some fish are just a** **les and some species with always be aggressive once they reach adulthood, such as your jags and RTs and umbees

Sounds like you would be better off with an Oscar. If you have a fish that is aggressive it will be aggressive to everthing not just tank mates, My RD is a mean ba@#ard talk about bite the hand that feeds you.

Steve

Dont waste your time, get an Oscar!!!:headbang2

My jacks are really skittish as well, especially the 2 females I have. The male is skittish because the Tiger Oscar is the dominant one in the tank!

Every dempsey I've had tends to be a little skittish, although they will take food from my hand, it is not to the level of oscars or my current polleni
