Dedicated reptile forums are always best, there are even forums dedicated around one genus or species.

not for all speciaes more common ones anyways ,like for axample the lizard im getting cant find a forum for them or forums with a topic for them, but the ones he listed are alot more common so shouldnt be a problem looking for inormation on them,,

Good thing it was directed at the OP then 'cause as you say won't have a problem with this list Blue tongue skink
Savannah monitor
Crested gecko (olive or harley)
Leopard gecko (generic)
Viper gecko
Red eye tree frog
Ball python (or any small breed of snake, preferrably under 4 feet)
Lychas a. scorpion (might have mispelled the name XD)
mangrove monitor
;)

Forums dedicated to a specific group of herps are still better places to look, even if you can't find one for your species. The people there can still be much more knowledgeable than your average forum, and most facets of herp care can be applied to many different species.

Muffdaddy is just some fat, lazy newbie you thinks because he kept his miserable animals alive and (barely) breathing, he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Even if you think hes not that bad, there are infinite sources of great info on the internet, you just gotta know where to look, and who to talk to. There's a lot more bad info than good though, you need to be careful. 99% of herp websites are sketchy at best, some are downright wrong.

Youtube in general is simply a horrible place to search for information on anything... Same with myspace, facebook, etc. I don't care how long muffdaddy has been keeping herps, skill level is based on actual success, or in this case, the lack thereof. I still consider myself a newbie, because I have never bred anything, and my animals have had their fair share of neglect (none intentional, I assure you) on my part when I was younger. Although I know more than your average herp keeper, I still believe I keep them for the right reasons, unlike a large number of people who keep them for the 'wow' factor, like muffdaddy. He's not the sort of herper who can sit and watch a sleeping leopard gecko for hours on end, just appreciating it. He's the guy that has the need to be the center of attention by using his animals, for his own personal benefit, rather than the animals.
i dont think name calling is neccesary
he has an idea of what to do
and im sure hes not keeping all of those monitors in a 50g tank
a baby would know they need more room

There has been alot of issues with muffdaddy.
Check out fauna classified HUGE thread on him over there.

None of the animals you listed should be hard to find information on. You surely dont need to find it on Youtube

He's not totally useless, but after watching several of his videos, I think he's far from a trustworthy source of reptile information.
:iagree: ive watched some of his vids. this is a perfect example of sketchy info on the net. just do alot of research and you'll figure out what is best, good luck.

I've beeen reading up on all of them :P Now all I need to find is the herps themselves. You would not believe how hard it is to find a juvie sav in edmonton XD

I have several of the animals your looking for right now but you'd have to pay shipping from Wisconsin ! I have the Leopard geckos 2/3in $20.00, Savanah monitor about 12 in $60.00,crested geckos some are about 3/in others are 6/in $65.00,ball p about 12 $40.00 in so let me know which you'd like if any and then who you'd like to have them shipped by. Thanks

I'll get back to you as I may be getting a juvie BTS soon, if I do it'll drain my wallet (it's roughly 4 inches long with a unique nose scale pattern, and yes I have read up on it).

I'm making myself a wishlist. A list of all the herps I would like to have soon or in the future.Contact me if you find one for sale :P All must be juveniles or sub adults (no older than 1.5 years) and be within a reasonable price range.
Blue tongue skink
Savannah monitor
Crested gecko (olive or harley)
Leopard gecko (generic)
Viper gecko
Red eye tree frog
Ball python (or any small breed of snake, preferrably under 4 feet)
Lychas a. scorpion (might have mispelled the name XD)
mangrove monitor

So....thanks for helping me!Any tips on savvy care?

All those animals except for Savannahs and Mangroves are available locally by local breeders.

Go to the Edmonton and Amphibian Society (Edmonton) or The Alberta Reptile and Amphibian Society (Calgary) for some assistance for finding those species locally without shipping or having to go through the CITES process. Although... I might castrate you a bit about the varanids, like I do everyone else. Sorry, I just seen way too many sick and obese African monitors NOT to say anything.

Crested geckos - $30-$200 depending on morph; not sure how much a Harley is.
Leopard Gecko - $10-$50 for a normal
Blue-tongued Skink - $100-$150 for WC, $150-$300 for CB
Savannah Monitor - $30-$100 WC (price varies depend on how long it been in captivity)
Viper Gecko - Haven't seen in awhile
Red-eye Frog - $15-$45
Ball Python - $30-$100 Normal CBB
Scorpion - Not an invertebrate guy
Mangrove - $50-$300 WC (varies on locality, size, time of year and how long it been in captivity)
