I love itKyle_91;5059213; said:$100+ for a 4-5 inch betta????!!!! - Thats insane....
I've never seen or heard of one that expensive.
It is NOT turning striped like a normal female Betta does when she's frightened, and hiding on the opposite side of the dish from your hand! The female Giant that I unknowingly bought at Walmart grew 1/2" in the first 2 weeks, while the rest of her female tank mates barely grew 1/4". I took her out and put into it's own 5gl. It's almost as big as the Giant male, (which I bought on purpose for $12.99). Not sure how things will go, since the male has never made any bubble nests, which the other normal males do all the time, when put next to a female. They both bang against side of their tanks at each other. Not taking a chance, won't be putting them together!they labeled them Halfmoon king betta, right? those are actually giant Halfmoon Plakat betta! they can grow up to 5-6''. Those I saw in petco are low quality, most of them don't even have the 180 degree tail and may not grow up to 5-6''. You can buy Giant betta import from Thailand that can grow up to 6''(some 6.5 and not include the tail length) but they are around $100 each!Carefree_Dude;5059754; said:a local petco had some of the 4" ones for 20 bucks each.
