Making sure Pleco's get enough Food

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The pleco in the pic looks like a common, btw great looking fish and aquascape. :) The pleco must be eating something looks healthy. Personally I would try the zucchini at lights out.
Do you think both of the plecos look like commons? and i will give zucchini a try, Just want to make sure they are getting the proper amount of food they need! And thanks love the fish I have in there!

Got some photos of the fish in the tank for those asking. I'm not sure if they are common sail fin pleco 's if anyone could Id them that would be great! Sorry that I couldn't get a better pic of the second pleco ( the one in the pic with the Texas) I'm leaning more towards it being a gold spot pleco (L001) if memory serves correctly.

is that the species that you id both of them as? and i will pick up some zucchini tomorrow and see how the like it, will try and maybe put some pellets in it as well!

Awesome! I am in my way now to pick up some zucchini. Hopefully they will like it. Although I understand it takes time so I will be persistent

I grow algae on stones for them. Just fill a bucket with water, fertilize and add stones(not necessarily in that order); once the stones are caked in algae you can place in tank.
