thanks guys , i thought it was pretty neat how he just sorta stood there all day lol . i just put him back into this tank recently after trying him in the bigger tank with my arowana and peacocks .
but he was just soo boring in that tank . he just hid and really didnt feed as good as in his own smaller tank . hes differently getting more interesting again .

He was probably intimidated if there was a substantial size difference

yes there was a good size difference . the mala is 9 inches the other guys were 13 to 16 inch i would say . when i first put him in he really flared himself up at the other fish , they checked him out pretty good but they never took any shots at him . i think they could tell not to mess with him lol .
part of the reason i decided to try him out with them was because he was smaller then the other guys . i was pretty sure he wouldn't attack them as long as they didnt mess with him . i dont hink i would have done it if he was as big or bigger then the other fish . but it wasnt the greatest . i think he really prefers his own tank , were as the others seem to do better together .

I say wait for him to get a little bigger, if the peacocks are more than a foot, he should be a foot going in imo
