I just baptist one of these after selling all my angelfish grow nuts to the lfs. Right now it's about 5 inches and in it's own 55. I also have an Oscar in it's own 55 as well that about 3 inches. Once my 125 or 180 get set up can these fish live together I peace. They will be the only two in the tank.

Do the 180 so you can keep it for life, a 125 width is to small. They can get along depending on the specimens, some can be very aggressive some can be complete push overs, you just have to try it and find out, but you have a good chance of it working, might be some fighting at first to settle dominance.

Right now this Wolf fish is wicked mean. It was just in a 20g at the fish store. Now it's currently in a 55 for a bit till I can put some more size on it.

What makes you say it's mean? And you said it's 5", I'd move it to the 180 by 8-10". The growth won't slow till 12". Your Oscar should grow at the same rate maybe faster. Try introducing the Oscar first as well. Maybe grow out some bala Sharks with it or tinfoil barbs for the 180 as well. It'll reduce aggression towards eachother when they are together.

Would switch to pellets or frozen stuff. Feeders are risky (parasites and disease) and aren't the best choice. Rosys don't have much nutritional value. The feeders need to be fed food soaked in vitachem.

Consider guppies or convicts that have been properly qt'd. Or fish u have raised.

Your fish and may do what you wish with your fish. Just my opinion.

Sorry...lots of people who use feeders use fry from breeding convicts as live food.

Ok I understand now. I have a cycled 20g empty currently so I think I'm gonna go the route of quarantine with the feeders or guppies for several weeks before I feed them. Also I can fatten them up with a good flake food. I'm also going to try krill, beefheart and pellets along with other foods to give this Wolf a variety.
