Malabaricus?

Quick tank vid, last week added a 8 inch Chalceus macrolepidotus, the mala quite aggressive originally but calmed down and hopefully ignoring him. Also seems to be leaving the dollars alone now as well.

Tank.and fish looks great dude. Stick with him, most mala must get miss treatment here. Never any large mala for sale down this end.

He is growing on me, seems to be far more active now the pink tail is in the tank. Fingers crossed he continues to play nice.
Agree about malas, haven't seen many big ones in the UK.

Keep thinking about trying a Flagtail Prochilodus in there but can't find any big enough not to get munched.
 
Quick update, he is now about 9.5 inch, the pink tail chalceus was bang on 8 inch when I added it one month ago and the same size as the wolf, the wolf is now about 1.5 inch bigger, far better growth rate then I expected.
Still not sure it's a mala, under the jaw looks wrong to me.

Looks intermedius than mala.
