petircola, multi, any that you like.

What do you mean by tank cleaner? Algae on glass, uneaten food on the bottom?

I mean uneaten food (what about plant material....I will probably have some plants in the tank as it's already planted and I've got nowhere to put them yet - will anything eat 'decaying' plant matter?)

I don't get much algae growth which I can see...I'm guessing the pleco's take care of it, but don't a lot of mbunas feed on algae? Is there any way of getting more to grow to supplement what I feed them? I was hoping I might be able to create a more natural environment where they don't completely rely upon me feeding them....

Cheers

My fish are like KB's and not much foods hits the floor. I have to target feed my cats since all of the ACs eat anything before it reaches the bottom. Adding Synos. helps add to the diversity and it a natural fit. Go for it, but pay attention to them to make sure they are getting enough food.
