Yes or No ?

I am not really sure if this should be posted in the Loaches threads or here but please help me has much as you all can with this .

Basicly i posted up in the Loaches thread about getting a group of Clown Loaches for a 300Gal tank that i will be getting soon for my current fish which are in y Sig' and was saying that i was going to use my 120Gal tank for some Malawi's and was saying if i cannt put a group Clown's in a 300gal with my current stock i think i will just look for some thing else to go in there with them , and then was told that if i want i could mix Malawi Cichlids and Clown Loaches .

i would say go for a fish that doesn't live nearly 20 years, i would either go bristlenose or synodontis. as they don't live as long as clown loaches and also they are not taken from the wild.

Don't put clown loaches in a high pH. They will develop skin deposits and will not live a healthy or long life

I agree with ewurm..

it's not the aggression it's the water parameters.....

It's both. I have rescued several clowns with severe skin problems and nipped fins from African Tanks.

its not a good idea to mix loaches with africans in general, for both reasons stated above
