I have read somewhere that people say it is to acidic for african cichlids(malawi cichlids)? Is it ok to use malaysian driftwood? I have a 72 Gallon Bowfront with 20 cichlids and tank hase been up for 5-6 months and everything seems to be fine. But I am just questioning it.

The pieces of malaysian driftwood I have don't discolor the water hardly at all, but I don't know if that means the pH isn't being affected or not.

If you've got some crushed coral or other buffer in the tank I don't think drfitwood will affect it too much.
