I find it easiest to keep a bag of frozen french cut or cut green beans in the freezer. I use a plastic chip clip and just drop a couple in that way ever few days. Remove uneaten portions after about 12 hours.

I've been doing the green beans and they loves them. I'm going to try the upside down method of sexing. Blowing the snail didn't work for me. From what I can see when their on the glass I think I have all males.

Yea the blowing didnt work for me either I think Im going to go try the upside down thing right now.

But looking just from the glass is very inaccurate. I would suggest close look, not looking from the glass.

It will be a test of endurance tonight to see if I can hold the snail longer than it can stay in it's shell. I made my first batch of Plaster of Paris pucks the other day. Going to pop them out of the ice cube trays tonight.

Also Danger, it can be difficult to tell until they hit about dime-sized (sexual maturity). Its much easier to sex adult snails then juvies or sub-adults IME.

My snails love there "crushed to powder" egg shells , my cray doesnt seem to go for the hole eggshell thing as much surprisingly :S

That's great.:) Did you use the granules? This is much better than anything else. It'll take 2-3 weeks before it disappears into nothingness. You can place another before it goes.

They're all getting close to ping pong ball size now. I got 3 of the 4 to pop out but really couldn't tell. There is no humping going on that I've seen. The only time they get close is to fight over food.

I used some old shrimp pellets I had. I put some small peices in the tank with the Cana and in with the diffusa's and they attacked. I can't wait until I can drop in a big one.

You'll have to watch out for molds if some of the shrimp pellets are exposed from the blocks.
