i go with pearls on the gill plate. dont remember which is which, but you have one of each.

i did not say it was ok in a 29, your pic is decieving. it looks small, what is the foot print of your tank.

i use pvc tubes, something to break up the line of sight, so she can get away if needed. or create rock caves.

Ok the tank is 3 feet long, 2 feet tall, and 18 in wide

Yes it is a breeder. I bought the the big one at LFS as a male. It was a steal I got him for 20 bucks.

The female I have had for one year. They have been together for about one week...

So yeah they are random...
