male biteing preg female??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i was lucky as soon as the female was preg the male never touched her again BUT the other female turned agreesive to the preg female

I have 2 females, the male typically bash up one of the female even after she is pregnant but can coexist with the other until birth. So far, he tends to bite only one of the female and alway the same one.

Irrationale behaviour or just that life isnt fair even in the fish world?

after the 2nd batch of pups and the female was preg again i was feeling sorry for her and if i kept the pair i was going to rester her for a few months after the 3rd litter was born

it can be that good for a female being preg 24/7 with all the baby hormones rushing around her body

no joke the male would breed with the female 2hrs after she had the pups its like he took advantage of her when she was weak like rape

yeah she looks like a shreded piece of meat i tried seperating but the male keeps busting down the divider hes like an bull
i may move him to the garage but he a nice ray and my money maker i don'r really want to put him out with all the motoros etc....we'll see

how many females has he bred with or just the 1 ?

just 1 what would u do
u think moveing him might screw up anything as far as his drive etc....

is it safe to moving a pregnant female to other tank?

Not the best idea moving the male would be a better solution.
