Nice!! All Bocourti seem to be pigs. Here is a couple pics of my male. He's about 12-13". I've also noticed that most ppl that keep Bocourti keep Pearsi as well.

Very nice pearsi everyone, I really like the rainbow of colors behind black bars.

I've read that one of their nick names is "chisel tooth cichlid".

Does anyone have a pearsi with chisel teeth?

Very nice color on that bocourti buddha. It seems as though as time went on he picked up more greens and pinks. Is this because of a proper diet or is that something you would expect from a more mature bocourti?
I've never kept one and I see lots of pics showing their color. I've seen some with pink, green, orange and yellow with strips and others with more of a solid orange/yellow color. I was under the assumption they were maybe a different quality of fish or something along those lines. This is the first time i've seen both in a progression of the same fish so it got me wondering.

The pearsi/bocurti combo is a great one, like the oscars in there too. Just nothing but thick pigs haha.
