Male breeder Jag

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
very nice Jag, I hope this isn't thread jacking but I have a question...it has come up before. Would you keep that Jag in a standard Aqueon 75G tank for life? If you say yes, would you keep it in that 75G tank with an Ornate Polypterus for life??

In my opinion no. I only keep parachromis species in a 125 and above.
Personal experience shows me they do better in 6 foot tanks.

People have put Jags in 75g tanks with a 4x1.5ft foot print with no problem though. I would say go ahead but if the fish gets 12-13 inch it would be time for an upgrade.

As far as the poly get a 125 and you can have both in the tank, but if you limit is 75 gallon get a Jag.

Oh yes I remember Brutis very well. He turned out AMAZING when he matured you did a GREAT job raising him. I remember he was in with two O's in a 150 correct?

Thanks for the great comment.

Yes that was correct, until he decided to own the 150 to himself,so i did a little fish swap with another forum member 'ermgravy'
Hehe thanks for the kind words

Very nice!
I had a massive one that died about 7 years ago(about a week or two after that massive blackout we had in 2003) and never got another. He was 17" when he died.

Thanks Vaine. It's ashame to her a monster that was 17" was lost! Thats unfortunate to loose due to a power grid failure.

Another Shot I liked. I know I am no Mo or GreenTerra though lol. I need a speedlight to flash above.
