u probaly have a chance if the convict is the female but i dont really know /im sure the experts will speak just wait.just try to keep it on the first page
A green terror and a convict hybridising? Ain't gonna happen.
The aequidens genus and the amatitlania genus are too far removed for hybridising to occur.
It's kind of like trying to breed some kind of geophagus to a severum.
Or a homo sapien (people) and our closest relatives in the animal kingdom, pan troglodytes chimpanzees). The divergence of dna is only 5%, which is very little but it's still there.
Same thing with the divergence between the aequidens genus and the amatitlania genus. It's small but it's still there.
Thus, certain cichlid genus' can be cross bred but there needs to be an extremely small divergence between their genus'. Aquidenus and amatitlania are simply too far removed from each other.
