Swordtails are also livebearers ...might wanna look into that.

as long as the adults are well fed, they wont eat the fry

I forgot what type they were. I tried searching them and couldn't find them. I searched once before and found them. The male has an all red tail and mostly red body. The females have mostly greenish grey body with a black and yellow tail seems as the yellow shimmers. It seems like the name was jade something.

Im not familiar with those type of guppies. Ive had the fancy tail guppies, where the male is the prettier one and has a fancy tail. The females look rather plain. You might just have to wait till they get bigger, start showing more colors etc. If you are really curious, you can also ask around.
