He is one in a group of five. I believe there are 3 females and possibly one non-alpha male but they are still pretty young and it's hard to tell. I may actually have 4 females with the questionable one being a dominant female. The females fawn over him endlessly, it's pretty cool. He's just so mellow...

i just got my first one.
i have mirror tint on the back of the tank,and he(i think its male) keeps fighting with his reflection.
will the mirror increase his hump,because iv heard of that happening with flowerhorns?

The mirror may help but IMO the best way is to get a group of them. The dominant male will display the dominant traits i.e. the hump.
