He's in a 75g with a Polypterus senegalus, 9 clown loaches, and one young Cuban cichlid. Oh yea he's only almost 8" TL and close to 2 yrs old.
I was able to successfully bred him to a 6" female twice in the past thru an eggcrate divider.
As for the hump is can be a number of things such as good waters, food, genetic, dominance, etc.

This guy has always been either kept by himself or with fishes that won't do any damages to his fins.
