That looks like a female to me. That's a pretty large tube. Plus in the pictures and video you sent me the link to, there is some blue splotches on the gill plates.

now that you mention it... my reg jd pictured above just ate alot .. and i noticed the white bump near the anal fin as well.. Probably Female.. This is TRICKY!
