My male marble mated with my female leo At the end of June, and for the months following I had to keep them seperated constantly as he just would not leave her alone, just kept hounding at her.

Unfortunately, in October my tank developed a leak, so I had to strip it down, and transport all my rays to a friend to look after for a few weeks, before bringing them home again.

During this time unfortunately the Leo aborted the pup, and since coming home a month ago, the male has shown no interest at all in the female?

Tanks and water conditions and tank mates all the same still!

Is this likely to just be due to the stress of being moved twice in a month, or could there be another reason?

Anyone got any suggestions to get his mojo back?! Now I know that they can breed I want it to happen again! Lol

Not sure how far along the pup she aborted was, but are you sure the female isn't still holding pups? If she was still pregnant with more it would explain why he is leaving her alone. Past that I'm not sure.
She aborted the pup on 05.11.17 and they mated on 30.06.17.

She doesn't seem big enough to big pregnant still and that would also make her nearly 6 months pregnant.

Also I haven't seem movement, although I didn't up til November when she was holding? Anything I should look for to tell?

Thanks

That's mum. She's fat, but I just presumed that was because she liked food lol

Honestly I'm probably not the one to ask. That said, are you sure the mating on June 30th was the one that produced the aborted pup? For over three months of development that doesn't seem very far along. I have also heard of some rays being pregnant for six months, forget what species it was but it was a black ray.

Hopefully someone else with more knowledge chimes in. I could be way off, this is just what came to my mind. Regardless, your leo is gorgeous!

Well I saw the sperm plug come out of the female on that date in June, but saw no sperms plugs after that so presumed that was it.

The father is a marble motoro, I don't know whether they gestate for longer.

But thanks she's not a BD, but I like her more than my actual BD lol
