My male motaguense has his own 75g and I want some activity, NO OTHER CICHLIDS, I tried an Mbuna with him while he was still smaller than he is in the 55 while setting up his 75g and he completely wrecks any other cichlid. Is there anything that can live with it for some movement Like some silver dollars?

If you add 1 fish at a time it will kill it, since you have 2 tanks then move the mota to smaller tank (temp) and stock up the 75 with other species similar size and let them settled and lastly add the mota back in 75, It will minimal the killing spree!

yes. by displacing him temporarily adding the other group of fish and putting him back in may reduce aggressiveness. But these fish can be hyper aggressive ( all of them ) and nothing should be put in with them that are too expensive. You can also try a group of giant danios . but they eventually will go missing .

if thats the case then why risk it? no point in killing a bunch of fish. i wouldnt even bother trying dithers with a parachromis species.
ive seen video of these guys in the wild at about 2" doing some serious hunting.

True mine is about that size, but I haven't had a fish with him for around a month and a half I could try a couple SD and just observe and see if it could work. But if I am to try a dither fish does everyone agree a SD would be best?

if he is only two inches I would try giant danios because he wont catch those. at least not yet. ive had giant danios and ive had silver dollars. each in a 4' tank. and silver dollars are way to wild for me. always slamming into everything in the tank. including the walls of the tank. but giant danios are way more controlled swimmers. their movements are way less sporadic.
i would go with giant danios.
but i honestly think anything you add will eventually be killed.
