This is my other Dempsey this pic from a few months ago it's a lot bigger now at wor just now do will get upto date photo when home any idea of its sex.

Pic is dark and the jack is darkened up so harder to tell but looks female... has more color on the gill plate but I'm not 100%

Im gonna say that last pic is male. Theres no beard just speckles and looks just like my male JD. Females usually have a beard and tracks or smears on the gill area instead of speckles like a male. I have seen males and females with small beards so its not always perfect. This one looks male tho but a couple other pics might tell another story.

Still hard to tell with the regular jack.. I still think female due to the black lines and nearly no spangling on the body
