I can not identify the gender, perhaps other people can identify the gender.

Male or Female Festae?

The Festae is about 4-5" including the tail. The stripes are normally not vary apparent, although today they are a little more apparent.

Thank you everyone for your opinions! Why does my Festae not display the bars, or why are they hardly noticeable? I am very confused because I do not have much experience with Festae. If the fish is a female, when will she appear more red? Right now the fish seems fairly bland.

this female was green and I was told male. But I knew she was female and I got her for my male. Her red comes in within minutes if put in the right place.

Hi i can say pretty sure that you have a male because females get better color by the time they get that big in size
