Male or female GT?

Thanks everyone! I should mention that she does have some iridescent scales on her side but these pics are from my phone which seems to be incapable of capturing them. However, its only a light coloration so I don't think it changes anything.

yeah females will have green coloring on their sides but it wont be the all over bright iridescent coloring that the males get

From the pic I am going to say female but you could provide more pics. It is hard to tell at this size but usually you can see a marked color difference even at this side. I look for the light blue on the scales. Females don't seem to get it.

i would wait for sometimes to judge, cos i feel its a male.my point.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong but I'm curious what you're basing your opinion on? Since everyone on this thread up until now has said female, it seems you would have given some reasoning why you think it's a male. Or are you just trying to be go against the grain?

Even from 2.5", you can usually tell by the dorsal and caudal fins. Males will have the GT pattern and female won't. Female's scales are also less colorful and defined than male's.

I've looked at the picture very closly and see nothing that would suggest it's a male. If I went looking for a female I'd pick that one.

Im not an expert but i think it is a female an here is why. I have a GT male (so i believe) and hes probably in the 2 - 2.5in range i took a few shots of him so you can compare them. Notice the fins difference and color.

hope this helps
