Or maybe it's too small to sex, was too small to see any differences in the 5 that were there to choose from. All had rounder fins to me, all had the same coloration around the face. I lost a 4.5" beautiful male Gold Saum this week, so after much calling around I finally found a store that had GTs - but they had Silver Saums instead of gold. Oh well.

Pictures taken with less then steller phone camera so I apologize. I'm also sorry for the glare.

Those pictures are not clear enough to use. It may still be too young to tell.

Even if its full grown GT are not dimorphic. The only real way is to wait til they're bigger and take it out of tank in your hands and vent it.

The good news is you got a 50/50 chance.

Well I got him/her because even at this age it had a nice coloration to him. I know you can't see it from the pics but his/her fins are black, and the tips are silver. Very pretty. The other ones had light bodies, light fins with silver tips.

I agree with everyone that a better pic is needed. Being so small its going to be hard to be accurate for sexing. It a lil easier to sex them when there around 3-4 inches. But the only way to be sure is to vent it.

Nice set up. Ya, I agree can't tell with those pics and since he is so young it would be hard to sex.
