There appears to be quite a bit of blue on the chin (to the extent you can tell given all the shadows), so I'd say female. The debate would be a lot easier with a clear picture of this fish in the open. But since you have a first hand view of it, check to see if it has blue on the chin. If it does, then female is the more likely answer. Fin shape is not definitive, and none of your photos show them very well anyway.

I say male. I don't see the blue beard but maybe you should take one with more lighting. This is my female. Also, females have a little splotchier (not a word, I know

I lightened your picture and it looks as if it's a female. The blue sheen on the chin is apparent.
I can see some blue on her lips in this pic. Great photo editing
brings the blue out. Luckily JD grows fairly quickly. Mine reached 6" in a year. Her growth seems to have slowed down now.
