Definitely a female. The blue splotching on the gill plates is a female. As for your EBJD's, you'll just have to wait and see. If I were you though I'd separate the one that's got a little beak going on.

i was wondering about the reputablility of people claiming they have BG jacks .. i mean you really can't tell.. It almost seems easier to just breed the EBJD w/ the Reg JD .. and get some BGJD , then breed that w/ the EBJD again.. but that just seems like a bad idea genetically.

It is, that's how so many deformed EBJD's have come to be. The responsible thing to do is find 2 EBJD from entirely different bloodlines as well as 2 females (doesn't matter if they're BGJD or not if you get EB fry) from entirely different blood lines and cross their offspring with each other.
