Male or female jag?

I'd say that's male.
One of my jags looked female for about a year before showing any male colouration

haha yeah that first pic from when you first got him totally looks like a female, he def was a cross-dresser haha how big was he when you first got him?

I would vent to be sure. I have a female that holds a male pattern in the absence of a male. When she sees a male she turns yellow and drops her tube.

Now mind you, this is an old fish that I haven't tried to spawn for two years. She's also blind in her right eye.
