With all Parachromis, spots around the gill plate and lower jaw are a good indication of male of female, as are rhe head profile.
Although this is a P motaguense , the same spot patterns apply, although a bit more obvious in this species
,
above a male, below a female
The size of your gravel chunks indicate that your is a just baby, so at this point too young ti show those obvious differences.
