Male or Female midas??

Im not sure wether my midas is a male or female. He or she is about 6 inches long. Could you guys help me out?

There is no sexual dimorphism between male and female midas. Your best bet is to get a photo of the vent. Then posting the picture here.

How would be the best way to get that pic? He or she is a lil shy so im not sure how to get that pic.

you have to take him/her out of the water and look at the "back end" of it...hold it head away from you and if the bottom hole is bigger than the top then you have a female

Same fish. They were taken with my blackberry so they arnt the greatest. Id like to get a nice digital camera as soon as I get some cash. School is taking all my money right now.

Female...100%..And to say there are NO midas/Rd that can be sexed by the naked eye, is ludicrous. SOME can easily be sexed by eye...like yours. It was female to me after pic 1. After the last shot, it is in-fact a girl with visual proof.
