Male or female ray

How can I determine the sex on my rays?

Males have 2 claspers by the tail

Ok I'm pretty sure I have three males then, now I need a female

Make sure you aren't confusing the pelvic fins with claspers. Google some pics.

Picture number 8 or 9 in the album shows claspers on either side of the males tale don't confuse the pelvic fins for claspers that look like sticks....

You really should have researched more about rays before you bought them! Here comes another "help my ray thread". Good luck with your rays!

I kept rays for years I just could never determine the sex and neither could my LFS. I never had any problems with them at all. So if you need any advice on your rays I'll be glad to help thanks little guy
