and also to note after moving him to his own tank ,he had no more competition and his hump deflated like a balloon,but thats when I started wondering his sex after someone stated females can have humps to.

yeah looks like male to me, and their nuchal humps are a show of dominance so maybe when he no longer had any competition and was by himself he felt no need to show it anymore... but yeah getting him a girl will definitely bring him around, or maybe try putting a little mirror on the outside of one side of the tank
