Ok got the vent shot! I thought for some reason if I would net, and take him out of the water to hold him upside down it would hurt him, I didnt want to hurt the fish. Hope this picture helps, thanks alot.

i think you got a female probl
mine are 7 month and 7"
so i still think u need a bigger tank,at least100 gallon.
u can try it to put the man in aplastic transparant bag with tank water and littlebit air ofcourse,,and put it in the tank,,then see how the female reacts
