Male or Female Synspilum?

Can anyone determine the sex of this synspilum?

female by the vent.. Cant tell by looks

O ok, I dont want to stress the fish out just to find out the sex. No one knows? When it squares off against my female jack dempsey its belly gets black and it runs all the way to the throat.

i said female. I see the vent.

i can't tell when they are flipped upside down. I don't know how ppl do that or do they even know what theyre looking at. lol

It's easier to see with the fish in the tank normally for me.

Sounds like a female, if it's fighting with another female.

It doesnt really fight with the jack dempsey its more of a flirt, But my texas male and convict male hate the synspilum. By the way thats not its vent thats apart of its fin lol i thought its was the vent too until really got close to the tank and looked at it.

Hm... well unless it pairs up, there really is no other way to tell than to vent it, afaik.

I think its a male but very little evidence behind my thought.
