hahaha. yes, it is poop! not swollen genitilia! thanks for the feedback though.Assuming that the big lump on the underside of the fish is genitalia and not poo, female. But then again why whould it's genitals be so swollen?
If it's poo (likely), then you'll have to perv up your fish yourself.
One couldn't very well judge by head shape since the fish is only 3" and not fully developed.
Also assuming that this is easier to remember than what's in the link (been there, done it, forgot whet the hell I was looking at and what for...)
Male, anus and papilla should be of similar size.

The only safe way to tell is by venting the fish. If you have had a fish for some time and have bred with them and are able to see both male and female this will help identify the sex a lot easier as there are also other small items that mey differ. Example is sometimes the anal fin in a female is more rounded than in the male. Need to have studied your fish very carefully though before you can tell.
At a guess I would say it is a female. The anal fin is very rounded to me.
