ok it is very easy to determine stingray sex (sexing) even when there born its easy just look for the claspers which is male female does not have these clasps and also get a motoro female id say its easier!

I would go for a pair instead of a single ray. I've noticed that keeping rays in groups is alot better for the behavior than keeping solo.

And if you go for one i would go for a female, allthough the males here in the Netherlands are alot cheaper than females.
