I picked these up from a guy in Cali off of flowerhorncraze.com. Other than that, I don't have much info on them.
 
I understand what your saying about thinking it's male, outwardly it looks male as far as it's resemblance to a Trimac with on dorsal splotch. In hybrids though that's not always a reliable indicator.

I was on a thred yesterday and apprently thought a female GT was a male but damn it was the most colorful female I ever saw....we can't always be right lol, it just sucks when your not, on a public forum...lol

I like that fish though and I'm not at all a hybrid guy but I'd keep that fish, colors are amazing. How big is it, he/she.
 
She is right about 6-7" right now.

If you're still unsure of the sex, net your fish and have it upside down. Have your thumbs on the sides and start at it's lower stomach, then gently slide down to the pore while having consistent pressure but not squeezing. If it's a male clear liquid will shoot out (looks like water). I drew a little pic for you :P

I swapped the two fish around in the tank a couple of weeks ago and this one decided to color up.

I guess it is time to pull this one out of the tank and vent it again.
