Looks like a male to me. Dorsal spot sexing isn't 100% with fh especially strains known to throw double rows. Look at the vent and compare it to pictures of sexed cichlids.
What is most interesting about this fish is what kind of head will it get? That super blunt face makes me think it will have a hard head but the beginning of the dorsal makes me think it will have a big water head. Fast forward 4 more months or something so we can see what it is haha
