......and neither does rat.

Let's hit my town this weekend. You'll have a taste of frog and pigeon! I don't know about hedgehog, but porcupine and fox are exotic meat back home. Rat is delicious!

I've never had frog or rats but i know some of our peeps eat them. I've had pigeon, dove, quail, pheasant (all from the wild from hunting) only. they are delicious

john have you had bear, deer or wild pig? not from farms or anything, from the wild. once you had wild pig, market pork is just something you eat to get by until next hunting season

home made bear and deer jerky are awesome too

I have had frog(legs) before but it was at a buffet if that makes a difference.....When one eats rat where does it come from, house, pet store,or are they bred to be eaten.Surely they are not the garden variety alley or wharf rat?

lol, i'm sure they're bred, just like in some countries they have dogs from the pet store for pets and specific bred ones for food.

i had a friend in highschool whose dad would breed rats for food in his backyard. they were kept in cages and from what i can tell they were well taken care of. he also had doves, pigeon and quail as pets and he'd eat them whenever he felt like it

Yeah I knew a fellow who used to breed pidgeons and rabbits for his food. He'd even eat guinea pigs when he got a taste for them.Guess I shouldn't turn my nose up too much at the rats...I've always said that I wouldn't dare eat snail but when I vacation in the islands I eat more conch than the the law should allow lol.

squirrel is bomb man! don't knock it til you try it.

not talking about dirty city squirrel who eat our junk. i'm talking about wild squirrel that eat their natural food in the forrests. everytime i go visit my inlaws in minnesota, i always visit a cousin up their, he's an avid hunter and i always tell him to make his squirrel dish.

Maybe it's just me but there does not seem to be much meat on a squirrel, especially the ones in the wild away from humans.Seems to be less meat than what would be on a good sized rat.I've heard that squirrel are quite tasty though.

no i think the opposite is true although i'm not a squirrel expert, i've seen some that were pretty big. bigger than rats.
